NGS and Data Analysis

Projects have access to the latest cutting edge technology in next generation sequencing through the central Z1 project of the SFB 1074. The Z1 project is equipped with a HiSeq 2000, ideally suited to cover a wide range of sequencing techniques such as whole genome sequencing (WGS), exome sequencing, RNA-seq (mRNA and miRNA), and ChIP sequencing.

Project leaders should adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Fill out and mail your request, along with the ‘sample submission form’ to med.genomics(at)uni-ulm.de. Depending on the complexity of the sequencing project and data analysis, there will be a meeting with the ‘genomics team’ to discuss details of the molecular and bioinformatics analysis.
  • After the end of the analysis, a final report will be sent to you within 14 working days, summarizing the results of the analysis.
  • In addition, the Z1 project will hold a bi-monthly meeting for all SFB members to discuss projects for all SFB members.
