Events
All members of ASSIST will get a detailed invitation-letter by email for each event. A binding registration is necessary via the respective organiser.

Basic Language Course
Senior Consultant Bernd Haase offers a German Basic Language course which covers two kinds of exercises:
- Application sessions
Real-life situations you may be faced in order to get familiar with standard phrases in German. - Grammar sessions
They should help you to form your own correct sentences in German.
All exercises are supported by electronic material. A training group should be up to 4 students.
The course will be held once a week at the home of Bernd Haase for 2 hours.

The idea is to get together regularly at least once a month to talk about all kind of topics the students are interested in, this means: The students determine the topics.
From our talks with the students so far we know some topics already:
Students' challenges of daily life, seeking for job during vacations or after study, travelling, local events, but also subjects of politics, economy.
Some students regard such meetings also as a chance to apply their German language knowledge, to brush it up in general, broaden their vocabulary in particular and always like to improve it.
Exclusively English or German speaking participants are of course also most welcome.

In order to reserve enough seats in the restaurant, participants are kindly requested to register for the meeting by email.

Bicycle second hand market at Judenhof, Ulm

If you are interested in buying a cheap bike you are warmly invited to come to the bicycle second hand market in Ulm organized by the German Bike Club (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad Club).
We, your ASSIST Senior Consultants, especially the bike riders have technical experience to assess the quality and can help with prize negotiations. If you prefer our assistance, please let Eberhard Theile know latest by 18-APR-2012, 06:00 p.m.

Periodical Meetings of the ASSIST-Team
The Senior Consultants meet once a month - generally on the 3rd Thursday of each month - to discuss upcoming topics like joint events, excursions or workshops, evolution of tasks and functions, adopting of strategies, matters of organisation, feedback to the members of ASSIST and the University of Ulm, etc.
