Higher education services portal studies & teaching

Via the higher education service portal following services are integrated for students and teaching staff and are made accessible via a single sign on:

  • university and event calender (VVZ)
  • management of studies & teaching (LSF-QISPOS)
  • course enrollment and course management system (Corona)
  • electronical bulletin system (blackboard)
  • web access to the e-mail service (Webmail)
  • e-learning platforms (ILIAS & Moodle)
  • software and hardware offers available on special conditions

An expansion of the portal integrating further services regarding study and teaching is planned.

Chip cards

Students, employees and other members of the University of Ulm receive a multifunctional chip card as an identification.

WWW service

The kiz operates the web server of the Univesity of Ulm and also provides the possibilty for the departments, employees and students of the university to host departmental or personal websites. Read here how you can use this service.

E-learning with ILIAS and Moodle

With ILIAS and Moodle the kiz provides the two official e-learning platforms of the University of Ulm. ILIAS can also be excellently used as a workgroup system. All members of the University of Ulm will be able to use these systems.

EvaSys

The kiz operates the at the University of Ulm used system EvaSys for performing Öffnet einen internen Link im aktuellen Fenstercourse evaluations which provides a comfortable creation of questionnaire and surveys as well as an automised scanning and generating of reports for the staff being entrusted with the performance of evaluations.

The primary objective of the evaluations is to provide feedback which is useful for teachers to improve their teaching quality. Furthermore the overall quality of the teaching at the university and within the different subjects can be determined on a regular basis.

It is also possible to use EvaSys for surveys of all kind. Members of the university can obtain an account by request. Please contact the kiz Helpdesk.
