Backup- and archive service

The central and campus wide backup and archiving service is provided for all staff members and departments of the university. All data of local computers or from departmental server can be automatically saved or archived or whenever there is need of it via the network.

Data Quotas

When storing data on systems of the kiz limited data quotas are generally available to the users depending on the service. If these are all used  futher data savings are not possible respectively the account will be locked.

File-Service

The file service is provided for all staff members and departments of the university. Files of all kinds can be stored at a central place on our servers ("harddisk on the network") in a so called share. Access is provided by the CIFS or SMB protocol from all up to date operating systems. The kiz account is required for authorization. Shares can be configured as individual home directory or for access by all members of a group or department.
