The central and campus wide backup and archiving service is available for all staff members and departments of the university. All data of local computers or from departmental server can be automatically saved or archived or whenever there is need of it via the network. The TSM system (Tivoli Storage Management System) from IBM is used which among other things has a tape robot with jaguar drivers.

The usage of the backup and archiving service can be requested the  Service request C which can be downloaded on our website for forms. Licensing costs will be charged by allocation. For details see our circular letter of November, 6th 2012.
