Library Account & ID

Login to our online catalog and click on "My Account" to access and manage your library account online. Apart from access to your account, as described above, other procedures such as registration, account management (especially changing your password) and ID cards differ according to the type of account you have.

Students

Upon enrollment, students are automatically registered as library patrons; student IDs serve as library cards. Library usage priviliges (e.g. checking out books) are extended only when an account has been activated. To do this, please visit the Central Ciruculation Desk in the central library or one of our other library locations.

University of Ulm faculty, staff, and alumni

These University members must bring their University ID to one of our circulation desks, where the library account number printed on the ID card (ulub...) can be activated.

Account management is limited to changing your password: E-mail Account Maintenance.

External users

Non-University members must apply for a library card, which is called the kiz service card. You may register at any of our ciurculation desks. Please bring either a valid German ID card or a passport when you come to the Library. There is a one-time registration fee (15 Euro) which is due upon registration.
