The department is responsible for the purchase all kind of print and nonprint media as well as integrating numerous donations and cataloguing the holdings into the local library catalogue and all monographic media into the Southwest German Library Database (SWB). All journals are recorded in the nationwide journal database (ZDB), the online versions of all journals are recorded in the electronic journal database of Regensburg (EZB).
Library related questions and requests are another main working field the department deals with. Information and Reference staff cooperate very closely with Specialized Information Services staff.
