The team is - among other things - responsible for the supply of software which is provided for students and scientists based on the excisting hardware. Access is available to
- a wide range of application software
- various compiler for programming one's own applications
- library routines for solving numerous standard tasks
- browser for searching the internet
- word processing systems
This working field includes the support of campus wide and country wide licences as well as offering help for solving problems which arise when using the software.
Developing and implementing IT-applications, especially in the context of projects, is another working field of the team as well as the continuous functional development of IT-services offered by the kiz.
