Collaborative Research Centres
Collaborative Research Centres (Sonderforschungsbereiche - SFBs) are interdisciplinary research concentrations at one or more universities, which can be funded for up to 12 years. The Collaborative Research Centres are reviewed by the German Research Foundation in a three-year rotation.
The following Collaborative Research Centres are currently being funded at the University of Ulm:
SFB 497: Signale und Signalverarbeitung bei der zellulären Differenzierung
Signals and Signal Processing during Cellular Differentiation
Speaker: Professor Walter Knöchel, PhD | Institute of Biochemistry
SFB 518: Entzündung, Regeneration und Transformation im Pankreas
Inflammation, Regeneration and Transformation of the Pancreas
Speaker: Professor Guido Adler, PhD | Clinic for Internal Medicine I
SFB 569: Hierarchische Strukturbildung und Funktion organisch-anorganischer Nanosysteme
Hierarchic Structure Formation and Function of Organic-Inorganic Nano System
Speaker: Professor Paul Ziemann, PhD | Institut für Festkörperphysik
Transregio SFB 21: Quantenkontrolle in maßgeschneiderter Materie: Gemeinsame Perspektiven von mesoskopischen Systemen in Quantengasen
Control of quantum correlations in tailored matter: Common perspectives of mesoscopic systems and quantum gases
Speaker: Prof F. Schmidt-Kaler | Institute for Quantum information processing
SFB/TRR 62: Eine Companion-Technologie für kognitive technische Systeme
Prof. Dr. Susanne Biundo-Stephan | Institut für Künstliche Intelligenz
