Grant for DFG Project on "Enabling Change and Compliance for Collaborative Processes"
September/05/2011The DFG, which is Germany's largest research funding organisation, grants a research project on "Enabling Change and Compliance for Collaborative Processes" to Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert and the University of Ulm. This project was proposed together with Prof. Dr. Stefanie Rinderle-Ma from the University of Vienna, Austria. The total funding of this D-A-CH project will be 540 kEUR, whereby the University of Ulm will receive up to 239 kEUR for a period of 36 months. [more]
New Research Project on E/E Product Data Management
July/28/2011In August 2011 a new research collaboration between Prof. Manfred Reichert from the Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) and the Daimler AG will be started. From DBIS side, Julian Tiedeken will work as PhD student in this project. The overall goal is to develop a holistic model for electric/electronic (E/E) product data as well as an approach enabling full lifecycle support for E/E product data. [more]
Vera Künzle wins the SIMPDA'11 PhD Award
July/08/2011Congratulations to Vera Künzle. She won the PhD Award at the First Int'l Symposium on Data-driven Process Discovery and Analysis (SIMPDA'11) which took place in Campione d'Italia from June 29th - July 1st, 2011. SIMPDA'11 was organized by the IFIP Working Groups 2.6 and 2.12 and offered a forum where distinguished researchers from different communities could share their knowledge on data-driven process modeling, analysis and mining. DBIS releases DBIScholar: An iPhone App for Performing Citation Analyses
June/28/2011The DBIS Software Lab has just released DBIScholar – a free iPhone App that allows for the retrieval, analysis and comparison of scientific citations. This App was developed by Andreas Robecke, Rüdiger Pryss and Manfred Reichert. As raw input DBIScholar uses data from Google Scholar. Based on their analysis, a number of citation metrics (e.g., h- and g-index, total number of citations) can be calculated.
