On 30 September 2017, the current academic dean in Computer Science at Ulm University, Prof. Dr. Manfred Reichert, will resign from office. At the same time, his mandate as vice dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology will end.

Prof. Reichert has been academic dean for three years. During this period he took care of the evolution of the Bachelor and Master programmes in Computer Science, Media Informatics and Software Engineering as well as the establishment of the international study programme in Cognitive Systems. Furthermore, he optimized organizational structures and processes in the faculty and extended the collaboration with the other faculties of Ulm University.

Prof. Reichert will be succeeded by his colleague Prof. Dr. Enrico Rukzio who will start as new academic dean on 1st October 2017.  Prof. Reichert will keep his memberships in the council of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science and Psychology as well as in the study commission of Computer Science.
