The Microelectronics Technology Centre - a Division of the University of Ulm is headed by a directory board on the basis of 
"Verwaltungs- und Benutzungsordnung für das Mikroelektroniktechnikum" from 1992.
It consists of two main parts: the Printed Circuit Board Technology and the Semiconductor Technology. The first is a pure service facility whereas the latter is a research facility where interested groups can carry out research on modern compound semiconductor materials and devices.
