A cordial welcome to all new international students from the international office of Ulm University!

We are happy that you have decided to come to Ulm University this semester as a regular student, pursuing a full study program in order to earn your degree in Germany.
We offer an orientation programme to all new international students, consisting of a variety of courses and modules. This orientation programme is designed to make you feel at home in Ulm and at Ulm University in a short time, to make friends with students from all over the world and across all fields and subject areas in order to prepare you as best as possible for a successful time of studies. We strongly encourage you to participate in this orientation programme to the fullest, including the ESE week in the beginning of October, which is organized by German students for all newcomers, German and international. We strongly believe that a thorough integration between German and international students is one of the keys for studying successfully and getting the most out of your time spent in a foreign country.

We hope that you will take the time to browse through this brochure and to learn about all the offers in April / September and October, prior to the start of the lecture period on April 15th / October 15th. Please send us your registration form by March 20th / September 20th so that we know how many people plan to attend the different courses and events. If you want us to provide assistance upon arrival by arranging a buddy or tutor for you, please inform us about your arrival dates at least ten days in advance.

Registration and Pickup Service

Sign-up required. Please complete the registration form (computer or typewriting) and send it to Juliane Klug or Johannes Glembek.

Pickup Service. We gladly organize a pickup service for you within the following time frame:

To arrange the pickup service we need to know the exact date and time of your arrival.

Please note! Moving in the students residences on weekends is NOT possible. We will only be able to collect the keys on Monday morning, October 1st. Therefore, you may not move in until Monday afternoon.
The pickup service refers only to the area of Ulm including someone to collect you at Ulm Railway Station or Ulm Central Bus Station and accompany you to your student residence.
Picking you up in other cities - e.g. Stuttgart or Munich, is not possible.
