The Baden-Württemberg-SCHOLARSHIP
The International Office manages student exchange programs with universities world wide. To promote these programs exchange students may be awarded a "Baden-Württemberg-SCHOLARSHIP" donated by the "Baden-Württemberg Stiftung", a foundation that is linked to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science and Research in Stuttgart.
These scholarships are exclusively offered to students of those non-European (non-Erasmus) universities which have supported the student exchange with Ulm University or are going to do so in the near future!
Eligible Candidates / Nomination
Undergraduates as well as postgraduates with an academic record above average are eligible for the Baden-Württemberg-SCHOLARSHIP - independent of the study course / project for which the student is enrolled while on exchange.
The Baden-Württemberg Foundation assigns a fixed scholarship budget per academic year to each of the higher education institutions in Baden-Württemberg. Ulm University awards these (partial) scholarships to incoming and outgoing students participating in non-European exchange programs.
The first decision on whom to nominate for a Baden-Württemberg-SCHOLARSHIP is up to exchange coordinator / committee of the sending partner institution (for detailed information please contact your home International Office).
The scholarship may be divided among exchange students from one institution. According to the scholarship regulations the minimum scholarship period per student is 3 months, the maximum period is 11 months.
After the partner institution has sent the scholarship nomination(s) with the students' application documents Universität Ulm International Office submits a proposal to the scholarship provider "Baden-Württemberg-Stiftung" for formal approval. Decision to be expected in July (for winter semester) and in January (for summer semester).
Scholarship rates and periods may vary according to variations in budget.
Minimum monthly rate
- for incoming undergraduate exchange students: 400 Euro per month
- for incoming graduate exchange students: 600 Euro per month.
