By public transport
    Ulm can be reached by the high speed train ICE from all major cities in Germany. Ulm University can be reached by bus No. 3 and 5 leaving from Ulm station at 10 minute intervals in the direction of “Wissenschaftsstadt”. Get off at “Botanischer Garten” in James-Frank-Ring (5-minute walk to Helmholtzstraße) and also at Ulm University north entrance and south entrance.

    By car
    From Stuttgart or Munich: superhighway A8 exit “Ulm West”. Take B10 in the direction of Ulm/Friedrichs¬hafen, exit at “Wissenschaftsstadt-Universität” and follow signs for “Universität Science Park I”. Turn left at the junction (traffic lights) into Albert-Einstein-Allee, turn left after about 200 meters and turn left again after about 20 meters into Helmholtzstraße. A multi-storey car park and a parking lot are situated on the left-hand side of Helmholtzstraße just a few steps from buildings No. 18 – 22 at the end of the street.

    From Nürnberg / Würzburg: exit the superhighway A7 at the highway junction Elchingen and take A8 in the direction of Stuttgart. Exit at “Ulm West” and go on as described above.

    From Kempten/Memmingen: exit the superhighway A7 at the highway junction Hittistetten, follow signs to Ulm on B10 and exit at “Wissenschaftsstadt-Universität”. Go on as described above.

    The nearest international airports are Stuttgart Airport and Munich Airport. There are also two minor airports close to Ulm: Augsburg Airport and Allgäu Airport Memmingen. All four cities provide direct and frequent train service to Ulm.
