Born in Trier, studies of Modern History, Politics and Japanese Studies at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf; 2004-2006 student assistant at the Institute for the History of Medicine at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, M.A. thesis in 2007; since 2009 scientific staff member at the Institute for History, Theory and Ethics of Medicine of Ulm University.
