This is how you apply:

Step 1: Registration in the campus portal of Ulm University
You register online via "My personal campus portal".
After self-registration, you will receive an e-mail with the activation code and a request to confirm your personal account in the campus portal of Ulm University.

Step 2: Application in the campus portal of Ulm University
You submit your application via "My personal campus portal" and upload the required documents.

Further information

  • The certificate of a bachelor's degree with examination results in Mathematics and Management or an area with largely equivalent contents obtained at a German or foreign higher education institution, or a qualification which is recognised as equivalent at the level of at least three years of study
  • A bachelor's degree with an overall grade of 2.5 or better
    or a bachelor’s thesis with a grade of at least 2.0.

When submitting your application via "My personal campus portal", you must upload the following documents:

  • Bachelor's degree diploma and bachelor's degree certificate with final grade as well as overview of subjects and grades / transcript of records with credit points / Diploma Supplement if available
  • If you have not yet completed your higher education degree: overview of subjects and grades/transcript of records issued by the higher education institution with the total credit points earned up to the application deadline and an indication of the provisional average grade.
  • if bachelor's degree was not in German: proof of required German language proficiency
  • for applicants with a degree from China, India or Vietnam: APS certificate or APS confirmation
  • for applicants with a foreign degree: grading system of the higher education institution indicating the minimum grade required for passing the bachelor's degree as well as the highest grade possible. If this information is not shown in the transcript of records or the degree certificate, it must be provided separately in an official document or letter
  • certified translations of documents that were not issued in German/English
  • for claims of hardship or in case of being tied to a study location (“Ortsbindung”) for reasons of public interest: letter of explanation and proof of exceptional case
  • change of name: documentary proof

Please note:

  • Proof does not need authentication
  • Applications with missing details or documents will be rejected
  • We do not accept applications and supporting documents sent on paper, fax or e-mail.
  • Candidates who reapply must resubmit the complete documentation
  • If you are unable to apply to Ulm University and carry out the application procedure yourself, it is possible to give someone the power of attorney to apply and provide information.

Admission will be granted when the following prerequisites are fulfilled:

  • Compliance with the form and deadline of your application
  • Fulfilment of entrance requirements
  • Proof of equivalence regarding the subject-matter of your study qualification (decision of the admissions committee)

If you hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Management from Ulm University, an application is not required. You can go to the Studiensekretariat (student administration and examinations office) instead and fill out an ‘application for change of programme’ (Antrag auf Studiengangwechsel) as soon as you graduate, given that your grades meet the requirements as stated in the admission statute (final grade at least 2.5 or grade of the bachelor´s thesis at least 2.0).
