Exxcellence Award: Sebastian Speiser Wins First Prize

For his outstanding thesis in computer science, Sebastian Speiser received the very first “Exxcellence Award” at the graduation celebration for the University of Ulm’s Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.

Dr Martina Maier, CEO of the local company eXXcellent solutions, and Dean Professor Helmuth Partsch presented him with the award. Speiser received this 1000 euro award for his master’s thesis, which earned him an overall mark of 1.0. The IT company eXXcellent solutions, which was founded in May 2001 and now employs 53 people, plans to regularly honour outstanding graduates in the future.
