SUMMARY:Quantum networks
DESCRIPTION:A grand challenge of modern physics is the realization of a quantum internet with coherent exchange of quantum information between arbitrary nodes. The talk will highlight recent experiments in which quantum state transfer\, remote entanglement and teleportation has been achieved between distant single atoms. This approach is efficient and scalable\, allows for arbitrary topologies and features controlled connectivity as well as infinite-range interactions for quantum communications and quantum simulations.\r\n\r\nVortragender: Prof. Dr. Gerhard Rempe (MPI Quantenoptik\, Garching)\r\n\r\nKontakt: Prof. Denschlag\r\n\r\nVeranstaltung: Physikalisches Kolloquium
