User interface management and awareness in group contexts

This project deals with user interface management esp. in multi user scenarios. UIs being multimodal, affective and emotional promise additional benefits in multi user and group aware applications. We investigate four major areas: (1) to provide enhanced awareness among users based on multimodality. i.e. chosing the right modality for each person using perceptive input; (2) social dialogues and floor control based on attentive stimuli; (3) user interface management of awareness und floor control through innovative interface metaphors; and (4) a context and situation model for groups.
