Students who want to take classes and need to be enrolled:

• "Zulassungsbescheid" (admission letter) and bank transfer form of StudentAgency Fee (may be done after your arrival)
• Originals or certified copies and certified German or English official transcript of degrees and courses taken at home university

 Other documents to bring 

• Passport
• 3 passport photos
• For international students from most countries whose exchange period will be longer than 3 months: entry visa for study or research purpose - please do not enter on a tourist visa!
  Special regulations for degree and exchange students from China.
• Proof of Scholarship and / or Financial Statement / Bank Letter-originals or certified copies in English or German (alltogether € 700,-/month minimum - for whole period of stay)
• Health Care: if you need a permanent medication, don´t forget to bring your medicine. It might be much more expensive to buy it in Germany. Don't send any medicine/drugs by mail - it will be seized by customs!
• Credit Card(s)
  (Meals in the student dining hall or in most restaurants as well as purchases in supermarkets have to be paid cash. Credit cards are accepted in hotels, in general stores, for car rentals and train tickets.
• Minimum cash € 700,- absolutely necessary - even for students receiving scholarship payments through Universität Ulm! (for first month's rent / administration fee / deposit for room / bus tickets etc. - credit card payment not possible!)
• Travel in Europe: if you plan to travel in Germany or Europe please ask your travel agent for special arrangements (rail passes e.g.) which can only be bought abroad and not after arrival in Germany.
• Photo copy of travel documents (passport, ticket) - keep separate from originals
• International Student Card
• Sleeping bag (if you don't want to buy or rent bed sheets)
• Mugs, pots, cuttlery... (if you don't want to buy them here)
