Workshop: Germany, welcome!
On Oct. 22-23, 2012, at Besprechungsraum 12 (Pavillon I) the international office will organize a workshop named “Germany: Welcome!”.
This two-day workshop is aimed at all doctoral candidates/international students who have come to Germany and would like to know:
The workshop is focused on the requirements of university life. Things are different in Germany, for example the high level of personal responsibility for everything that has to be organized, the interaction with professors and fellow students, the culture of open debate, assignments, or time planning. In this course, specificities of German culture are revealed by case examples of common cultural misunderstandings in university life. Explanations and advice on German behavior is given. The course will help you to feel more comfortable at university and in everyday life in Germany.

Workshop: “Fit for Doctorate: Planning, Preparation, Structuring the Various Phases of Doctorate”.
What should be the next step, career or doctorate?
Often there is confusion about what “doctorate” really means. Anyone who is at the beginning of a doctorate will face various problems.
If you have ever met the problems above, we highly recommend that you take part in the seminar which is organized by the International Office and named
“Fit for Doctorate: Planning, Preparation, Structuring the Various Phases of Doctorate”.

On March 30, 2012 (9 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.) the International Office will organize a workshop named powerful presentations.
If you wish to grow and develop your presentation style or you are responsible for motivating, implementing or informing on projects and initiatives in the organization, please take part in the event without hesitation.
