The research consortium "Tumor Stem Cells" is a national consortium aiming to isolate and characterize tumor stem cells in solid tumors. The consortium was established in October 2005 and is financed by the Deutsche Krebshilfe-German Cancer Aid. In October 2007 the consortium has entered its second funding period. The number of funded project groups has increased to nine.
