Personal guidance
The teaching staff, as well as the School of Science's student council, has a proven track record of providing personal guidance to new students, and support throughout the course. A maximum of 40 students will be accepted into the International M.Sc. Course each year, ensuring small class sizes and immediate student-teacher interaction.
Support - "ASSIST"
At Ulm University we know that studying in Germany is an exciting experience for our international students but can be daunting as well. For this reason, ASSIST has been established.
ASSIST is an organization of experienced elderly Germans which supports international students during their stay in Germany while they study at Ulm University.
The ASSIST "senior consultants" are here to help international students with, for example:
- Banking and money transfers
- Shopping hints
- Travel information
- Dealing with authorities (municipality, police)
- Finding best cell phone providers
- Borrowing books and videos
- German language coaching
- Phone calls and mailing
Additionally, the ASSIST senior consultants organize excursions and get-togethers for the exchange of cultural and intergenerational experiences.
