The Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at the Bezirkskrankenhaus Günzburg is responsible for the provision of psychiatry and psychotherapy in the catchment area of north and middle Swabia with about 671.000 inhabitants.

The clinic provides 332 inpatient treatment beds, two day care units, an outpatient clinic and a home treatment team (mobile crisis intervention). Furthermore, there are the sections of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (Prof. Dr. Karl Bechter) and of General Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Donau-Ries Klinik in Donauwörth (PD Dr. Norbert-Ulrich Neumann)
