Ph.D. positions

In the Institute of Applied Physiology University Ulm in the GrissmerLab a Ph.D. position (salary according to 13 TV-L/2) is available at once for biochemical and electrophysiological studies to characterize a Ca²⁺ activated potassium channel, especially its interaction with other proteins.  These studies will not only characterize the native channels but also modified channels that will be produced during the course of the Ph.D. project.  The focus of the work will be the interaction of the channel with a variety of different proteins and how the interaction will change channel properties.  The applicants should have a University degree, a knowledge of electrophysiology is not a prerequisite but of advantage.  For more information please contact Professor Dr. Stephan Grissmer (tel. +49 731 500 23253) stephan.grissmer@uni-ulm.de
