Welcome to the course website "Manager for virtual learning projects in seniors' education in Europe" (Grundtvig reference no. DE-2008-749-001) which was organised from Institute for virtual and real learning in the area of adult education at the University of Ulm (ILEU) together with ZAWiW.
It is a Grundtvig introductory course, which is devided
in a 3 week online-course (31.03.08 - 18.04.08) about the "Technical basis for virtual learning" (TvL),
a one week lasting presence phase (21.04.08 - 25.04.08) at Ulm University and a third stage focused on
post-processing and review of the learned
material over an Internet forum (until 08.05.08).
It is intended for those who wish to apply the new information and communication
media in seniors' education.
It focuses especially on virtual learning via various working platforms.

The TvL-course is an example of leading seniors to technical possibilities of learning via the internet: how can mailinglists be used, how can documents be attached to emails, how are chats and discussion forums operated. Some examples of elearning projects are discussed as well. The TvL-course will lead to a technical basis for the presence stage. And it will be a first common experience for the participants of the MVL-course.
