Emotion Lab

The significance of emotional behavior in terms of interpersonal contact and human computer interaction (HCI) is the issue of the future. The 'Emotion Lab' studies the basis of emotions and develops applications for various areas. It is currently involved in research projects on the following topics:

  • Emotion recognition
  • Emotion computing and usability
  • Emotion regulation
  • Emotion processing in various diseases
  • Method development

Experimental methods for psychobiological emotion research are developed through fundamental research. These include special psychometric tools (questionnaires), computer-based tests and experimental processes to measure eye movement, psychophysiological parameters, and behavioral data.

Some of the areas of application are the analysis of human computer interaction (HCI), interpersonal communication, and the study of the etiological significance of emotional dysregulations in certain disorders (such as anxiety, depression, and neurological dysfunctions).
