In the context of improving IT security, kiz has taken a number of measures that make it absolutely necessary to change the password for interactive access to our computer systems. This change affects the Linux PC pools of the kiz as well as the login nodes named Andromeda, Login and Zeus.
After a transition period of 2 weeks, i.e. from September 1, 2018, which is unfortunately very short due to the high importance of the system, access to the above systems will only be possible with new passwords. In addition, we strongly recommend that you also change your passwords for other kiz services, such as the "Portal kiz-Webservices", the library system or the e-mail service, so that you can also enjoy significantly improved encryption procedures here.
You can change your passwords by logging in to the identity management system via web browser with your kiz account and selecting the "Change Password" function in the IDM Self Services:
Both on the kiz homepage and in the Self Service Portal of Identity Management, your browser shows you that you are connected to the correct web server by a green lock icon in the address bar. If you still have doubts about the authenticity of this e-mail, please contact our helpdesk (firstname.lastname@example.org, Tel. 0731-50-30000) to confirm.
To help you choose good passwords, we recommend the short article by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) on this subject:
