Trauma-associated kidney failure
An interdisciplinary team of physicians and scientists of the SFB 1149 has defined trauma-related acute kidney injury (TRAKI) in a review paper and published it in Nature Review Nephrology. "TRAKI is a clinically highly relevant component of multiple organ dysfunctions after trauma," says first author Dr. David Messerer. Last author Prof. Huber-Lang adds: "With this review, we want to bundle the existing knowledge and identify gaps in knowledge in order to address them in a targeted manner".
