House rules

These regulations apply to all university sports facilities at Ulm University. The purpose of these regulations is to ensure a pleasant stay for all users.

UNIFIT

Check-In

Checking in at UNIfit before each training session is mandatory. Training is only possible with an existing contract. Underage students require the signature of a parent or guardian to sign a contract at UNIfit. Lost or damaged chip cards, student ID cards will be replaced for a fee of 5 euros.

Drinks

It is forbidden to bring glass bottles into the entire studio area. If you bring drinks with you, please ensure that they are in break-proof and leak-proof containers.

Hygiene

For reasons of hygiene, sufficiently large and clean towels must be placed on the cushions when using the equipment. Cardio equipment must be cleaned immediately after use with the disinfectant provided for this purpose.

Wet areas

The wet area may not be entered with street shoes or training shoes. Shaving is prohibited in the wet zone. The posted notes and rules must be observed. Changing rooms and showers in O25 are closed to cleaning staff daily from 05:30 - 06:00 and from 14:00 - 14:30.

Tidiness in the training area

All training equipment must be returned to its place after use. Dumbbells must be organised according to size. In principle, weight training is only permitted in the designated area. Self-brought training aids (e.g. pulling aids) are not permitted. Blocking the training equipment is not permitted.

Training clothing

Training is only permitted in suitable and clean training clothing. The training area may only be entered with clean sports shoes with abrasion-resistant soles that are not used in road traffic. Training barefoot or in socks is not permitted. Changing clothes is only permitted in the changing rooms.

Valuables

Valuables must be locked in the lockers provided. University Sports accepts no liability for loss, theft or damage and recommends leaving valuables and large sums of money at home.

University Sports facilities

Hall supervision

Only authorised persons are permitted to enter the sports facilities. Course leaders, caretakers and other representatives of the University Sports Office are authorised and required to deny access to other persons or may ask unauthorised persons to leave.

Punctuality

Punctuality must be observed when participating in the course programme. Participation in the course programme is no longer possible after the warm-up has finished, at the latest 10 minutes after the start of the course. Whether a late entry during the warm-up is still permitted will be decided by the course leader on site.

Sportswear

Training is only permitted in suitable sportswear. People who wear glasses are noted that training may only be carried out with glasses suitable for sport. The sports halls may only be entered with clean sports shoes with abrasion-resistant soles that are not used in road traffic. The sports shoes must be appropriate for the type of sport. This rule applies to all indoor sports courses. Grass pitches may not be played on with studded shoes. Further provisions for sports clothing may be issued for special sports. These will be brought to the attention of participants in a suitable form at the time of enrolment. It is strictly forbidden to enter the North Hall wearing football boots.

Access authorisation

All those who have registered online or at the University Sports Office and paid the corresponding fee in due time and therefore have a corresponding confirmation for the respective events have access to the courses offered by University Sports. From the second week after the start of the semester, access controls will be carried out at University Sports. Only regularly registered persons will be admitted to the sports facilities. Confirmation of registration must always be carried.

Use of the music system

When using the music systems, the noise level must be selected so that other course groups and teaching staff in neighbouring seminar rooms do not feel disturbed.

Further notes and regulations

The following applies in general

Training under the influence of alcohol is prohibited. The instructions of UNISPORT employees and instructors must be followed. In the event of non-compliance, a ban from the premises may be imposed. Members are bound by the instructions of trainers, instructors and Human Resources.

Theft

The organisers are not liable for theft. All participants are urged not to bring any valuables with them.

Insurance

Accident insurance / liability are regulated in § 7 of the Hochschulsport regulations of Ulm University (including "UniFit") dated 17 November 2015. Accidents must be reported to the University Sports Office within three days.

Data protection regulations

By registering for a sports course, participants accept the data protection regulations of University Sports.

Code of behaviour

We ask our users to behave in such a way that safety, cleanliness, order, a relaxed and pleasant sports atmosphere are guaranteed and other users are not harassed. We wish for a sporty and fair coexistence. We ask that all facilities, equipment and devices are treated with care. Please report any damage or defects to the University Sports staff immediately.
