Due to recent events, we must urgently warn you of a serious phishing attack against members of Ulm University. The e-mails are currently being sent from various e-mail addresses (e.g. "E-Mail Support").

What does the attack look like?

The content asks the recipient to revalidate their business e-mail address. This involves clicking on an external link. The aim of the attack is to intercept login data from members of Ulm University in order to gain unauthorized access to university systems.

What should you do if you receive such an e-mail?

  • Check external links and e-mail addresses for authenticity
  • Do not open any unknown external links or file attachments
  • Do not enter any login data (user name and password)
  • If you have already entered login data, you must change the corresponding password(s) immediately. In this case, please pay attention to conspicuous behavior of your account/workstation computer.
