The Center for Translational Imaging - From Molecule to Man (MoMAN) has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 2016 to 2024 and was initially (2016-2019) established as a central coordination unit for the imaging core facilities. It served to promote, further develop and bundle activities in the field of translational imaging. In the second funding phase (2022-2024) the successful administrative support was extended to other core facility technologies. Furthermore training opportunities within the Core Facilities and a structure for data repositories was established.

In 2025, the MoMAN Center has structurally been evolved into the “ULM Life Science and Technology Center” (ULMTeC), which now administrates all Core Facilities of the Medical Faculty.
