The Sparrow Anthology

The Sparrow Anthology is a magazine in which prose and poetry both in English and German from the University of Ulm are published.

Anybody either studying or working at the University of Ulm, or otherwise involved with the university, is welcome to submit work for publication. This includes poetry, short stories, essays and other short prose. Pen and ink Illustrations would also be very welcome.

We are particularly interested in publishing:

Short Fiction

Each issue should contain short stories limited to a maximum 3,000 words on any theme and in any genre.

Articles & Features

We are interested in receiving forward-looking articles on all topics. These might include, for example, interviews and personality profiles. Articles should be 500-1,000 words.

Poetry

The magazine publishes previously unpublished poems, provided they are original of the required literary standard. No more than three poems should be submitted at any one time.

 

All work should be typed, double-spaced, on one side of white A4 paper and paper-clipped if there is more than one sheet, or as a Word file. Brief biographical information should accompany your submission.

The editors look forward to publishing your work providing a forum for students and members of all faculties contributing to the creative life of the University of Ulm.
