Digital Teaching

Lots of software tools are readily available on the market which allow for specification, synthesis, analysis and simulation of technical systems. Still, these tools commonly have to be installed on the respective computer and licenses have to be bought accordingly.

Web browser-based, easily usable practical courses and exercises which are based on functionality of these tools shall be offered for students. This requires to establish infrastructures in which the tool in question is installed and executed on a server, but in which its graphical user interface is replaced by a web application. User interfaces, which have to be as generic as possible, have to be developed for display and input in web browsers. In order to be able to have simulations, analyses or synthesis done by the appropriate tool on the server, design and implementation of specific programming and control interfaces is required.
