Experience Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Psychology First-Hand
The theme of this open day will be "Humans and Technology". Visitors will get exciting insights into current research related to Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Psychology. The research institutes will provide a fascinating programme, which invites vistors to participate, learn and experiment.
Our Institute of Databases and Information Systems (DBIS) will contribute to this program as well. In its presentation "What your smartphone can do!" (4pm, Blue Lecture Room H45.1), it will give profound insights into the technological opportunities of comtemporary smart devices. This presentation will be accompanied by a number of software demonstrations developed in the DBIS Mobile Application Lab: "Augmentend reality - virtual worlds on the smartphone", "XFit - how your smartphone fosters your fitness", "3D worlds with LEAP - new gaming experiences", and "Supporting clinical and psychological studies with the iPad".
