Pia Beyer-Wunsch

Pia Beyer-Wunsch holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Media and Communication Management from the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg (2015). In her master's thesis she explored the question to what impact media can have on a person's daily life and how they can help them cope with profound crises in their lives. Based on the requirements for good user experience and usability, she developed quality criteria in this research work in order to achieve the desired effectiveness of the media for those affected.

In addition to her PhD, in the field of medical informatics, she is employed for the cross-university project StartupSüd (consisting of University of Ulm, HNU, HU, THU) in cooperation with ProTrainU (graduate support). In this context, she is part of the team for the continuation of the large-scale project and leads their courses for graduates and PhD's to raise awareness of the -preneurship topic in the field of science. She also has responsibility for the BioTech and MedTech topics.

In her spare time she is involved in various voluntary activities in the fields of health and medicine (neurodiversity, premature and high-risk children, COVID-19) and the promotion of pupils in mathematics, science and technology (STEM). Furthermore, she is the founder and 2nd chairperson of the Federal Center for Neurodiversity.
