Visual Computing Group
Visual Computing is a computer science discipline which deals with the generation, processing and analysis of digital images. Our focus is on interactive visualization and visual analytics, which aim at deriving new insights from existing data.
We develop and evaluate visual data analysis methods which make big and complex data comprehensible. Our results are new algorithms and interactive software.
We apply our work primarily in medicine and the natural sciences (biology, astronomy, and physics), but also in areas such as cultural heritage and disaster management. Besides desktop systems, our solutions are designed for mobile devices, head-mounted displays and our Powerwall setup.
