I studied electrical engineering at the University of Ulm, where I received my B.Sc degree in 2015 and my M.Sc. degree with a focus on microelectronics in 2018. Starting in September 2016, I completed an 8 month internship at Robert Bosch LLC in Palo Alto. The topic of my Master's Thesis was "Implementation of a neural recorder front-end with chopper-based noise reduction in a 180nm CMOS technology".
In November 2018 I started working towards my Ph.D. degree at the Institute of Microelectronics at the University of Ulm under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maurits Ortmanns.
S. Reich, M. Sporer: Bidirectional, neural interfaces are a tool which is widely used in the study of the complex interconnections between neurons within the brain. To understand the activity of neural cells, nervous tissue is first stimulated with a current or voltage signal and afterwards its electrical activity is observed ... [more]
