Family Get-Together

Pursuing a PhD while being a parent might pose a great challenge. Particulary doctoral students from abroad, who are not familiar with the conditions and possibilities in Germany, might face a lot of questions:

• How do I balance my research and my family?
• What kind of financial and institutional support is available?
• Where can I get information about childcare or other family related issues?
• Where can I meet other parenting students and share my experiences or get some advice?

And many more.

The Family Get-together for both students and doctoral students from Germany and from abroad offers a great opportunity to get answers to all those questions and to spend some time with your children and other parents in a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere.

The Family Get-Together takes place at irregular intervals and various locations. Occasionally, we'll be joined by guests from different departements and support services. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
