Requirements, competition procedure, and documentation for Ukrainian students to participate in the dual degree program

  • Students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Kharkiv National University, majoring in Fundamental Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Theoretical and Applied Computer Science, who are successfully studying and have an average grade of at least 75 and a German language certificate of at least B1 level, are eligible to participate in the program.
     
  • Those wishing to participate in the program must submit an application to the faculty no later than the middle of the third semester (September-October). The application must be accompanied by recommendations from two faculty members.
     
  • The faculty selection committee selects future participants in the dual degree program from the list of candidates based on the following criteria: academic performance, motivation, communication skills, social adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
     
  • A joint selection committee from both universities (Kharkiv National University and Ulm University) interviews each applicant and makes the final selection.
     
  • All participants in the program are officially registered through the international department of Kharkiv National University, the Unified State Database of Ukraine on Education (EDBO), and the international department of the University of Ulm.
     
  • Selected students submit a set of documents to the international department of Kharkiv National University. The list of documents can be found at the link (link TODO). If necessary, students receive assistance from the faculty in preparing the documents.
