ULESS (Ulm Laboratory for Economics and Social Sciences) – Computer laboratory for experiments in economics

In the computer laboratory ULESS (https://www.uni-ulm.de/mawi/uless/ ) we conduct research in the field of experimental economics. Experimental economics is a method that allows us to analyse individual decision making in economic situations. read more on how individuals' self-assessment depends on whether its accuracy is observable to others. Mathematical Colloquium

The Mathematical Colloquium is a joint scientific event of the entire mathematics professors of the Faculty of Mathematics and Economics. The speakers are internationally renowned experts. The topics of the colloquia are current research areas in mathematics and provide insights into different parts of mathematics. It is important that the lectures are designed for a broad mathematical audience so that all members of the faculty, especially young scientists and students, can benefit from them. 

The colloquium usually takes place on Friday at 14:30 in room 220, Helmholtzstr. 18. Beforehand, there is the colloquium tea at 14:00, to which the lecturing guest and all visitors are invited.

ULME (Ulm Lectures in Mathematics and Economics)

The ULME (Ulm Lectures in Mathematics and Economics) is a joint scientific colloquium of the economics department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Economics. Internationally recognised experts present current research work from the core areas of economics, as well as from the interdisciplinary areas of economics, psychology and law. The lectures are designed to benefit all members of the faculty, especially junior researchers and interested students. The ULME can also be taken as a seminar in the Master's programme.

The colloquium usually takes place on Thursdays at 4:15 pm in room 120, Helmholtzstraße 18.

Ring seminar Epidemiology and Biometry 

Since the winter semester 2015/16, the Institute of Epidemiology and Medical Biometry in cooperation with the Institute of Statistics (Faculty of Mathematics and Economics) has been organising a ring seminar entitled "Statistical Methods in Epidemiology, Medical Biometry and Health Services Research".

Graduates' Ball

Am jährlich stattfindenden Absolventenball der Fakultät für Mathematik und Wirtschaftswissenschaften werden die Bachelor- und Musterabsolventen eines Jahres eingeladen in feierlichem Rahmen die Abschlusszeugnisse überreicht zu bekommen. Darüber hinaus bekommen die besten Absolventen der Studiengänge der Fakultät von Sponsoren gestiftete Preise überreicht. Ohne das studentische Engagement ist das Unileben nicht vorstellbar. Das studentische Engagement wird besonders herausgehoben und ebenfalls mit einem Preis honoriert.

Das Organisationsteam des Absolventenballs sind Studierende der Mathematik und der Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Es erfolgt die Unterstützung der Fakultät. more Informations
