At the annual meeting of the German Society for Biomechanics (DGfB) two scientific prizes were awarded to employees of the institute. Luisa de Roy received the “Best Experimental Study Award” (sponsored by AMTI) for her study “Structure-functions relationships in facet joint cartilage”. 

Ann-Kathrin Greiner-Perth was also successful and got the 3rd poster award for her contribution “How does mechanical stress affect the swelling behaviour of the intervertebral disc?”
