Online teaching: emergency operation due to SARS-CoV-2 (Corona)

Due to the current situation most teaching will be digitally in summer semester 2020. Access to all teaching is the teaching platform Moodle. Passwords for your respective courses will be send to you via e-mail. Please ensure, that you have signed up for the respective mailing lists in order to receive e-mails (tutorial). Please sign up for all Moodle-courses you want to take this semester. For teaching, which cannot be substituted by online teaching we are currently searching for alternative solutions.

Please also note the constantly updated information provided by the university here.

Generel information

  • Current information

    Dear studens in biosciences,

we hope you are doing well, and despite the extraordenary situation, are confidently looking forward to the summer semester.

The current measures to control the corona pandemic apply to Ulm University as well. Most employees are currently working in home office and students are not allowed to enter the university. Therefore, it is understandable that you are facing the coming semester with great uncertainty and also worries.

A large number of people in the institutes, the central facilities and the study commissions are currently working from home to offer you reliable, extensive, research-oriented teaching in the summer semester.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to tell you when Ulm University can end emergency operation and gradually return to normal operation. We currently have to assume that measures to control the corona pandemic will also apply at the beginning of the lecture period in mid-April and that no classroom teaching will take place for the time being. Further down on this website you will find current information on the courses offered by the Department of Biology for the summer semester 2020.

We kindly ask you to be patient. All members of the university endeavor to avoid any additional disadvantages for you. Please give us the time and freedom to prepare us for this extraordinary semester.

With the best wishes for your health, stay confident,
Your Academic Affairs Committee Biology & Biochemistry
