If I were a hormone, I would be …., because…

Vasopressin

Also known as antidiuretic hormone, it prevents you from constantly urinating and therefore it is at a high level especially during nighttime. Why would I want to be this hormone? – Somebody has to do the job and nobody would want to go without it.  Apart from that it seems to have positive effects on memory performance.

Position in the team:

As an enthusiastic team leader, I am trying to help wherever I can. Still, the lab is the place of the highest interest for me – it´s where the magic happens. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What does iGEM mean to you?:

iGEM offers us young people the opportunity to do research that was impossible even for the most experienced scientists only a few years ago.

Why do you participate in the iGEM contest?:

The birth of synthetic biology does not date back long, but it has already provided access to countless possibilities. Uniting diverse sciences, it enables us to construct life. Whether this means a milestone in the history of technology, the victory of mind over nature or a new phase of human evolution – one thing is certain: synthetic biology is the future and I want to be a part of it.
