Selected postscripts from the Particle Based Materials Symposium 2019

On September 26 and 27 the young Symposium on Particle Based Materials 2019 took place at Ulm University organized by the KÜHNE Lab. Around 90 participants from Germany and central Europe contributed to the event successfully with almost 30 talks and numerous posters. The inspiring keynote lecture was given by Prof. Richtering from RWTH Aachen on adaptive microgels. Mainly young scientists presented their research results in further talks and on posters in the fields of soft and hard particulate matter ranging from synthesis over self-assembly to catalysis and photonics. A vivid atmosphere led to many fruitful discussions during the poster session. Supported by the industry poster prizes were awarded to three young researchers. A guided tour through the marvelous city of Ulm on wednesday evening and the conference dinner on thursday evening in the "Krone" rounded off the Symposium. After this motivating and inspiring meeting we are looking very much forward to the upcoming Symposium PBM 2020 in Braunschweig!
