Research Interests

Tamara is working on the synthesis and characterization of peptide-functionalized mesoporous silica nanoparticles. The aim of the development of these hybrid materials is the parallel quantitative evaluation of the targeting accuracy of cellular uptake and intracellular drug release. The focus of active targeting is particularly on binding the nanoparticles to SSTR receptors, which are increasingly found on certain tumor cells.
