Roman is interested in the adsorption and desorption of therapeutic peptides onto mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) aiming towards an effective and efficient drug delivery platform for sensitive peptides and their eventual oral administration. Therefor, the particle's properties can be modified target-oriented via functional motifs (e.g. charged polymers, fluorescent dyes, targeting ligands etc.).
