Heteroarylated Dithienopyrroles (Part 1)

In this publication we describe a novel and broadly applicable synthesis method for the preparation of dithienopyrroles (DTP), which are substituted at the pyrrole nitrogen by 5- and 6-membered heterocycles. The investigation of structural and optoelectronic properties led to valuable structure-property relationships. Selected derivatives were electropolymerized to corresponding conducting DTP polymers. The results were published with the title „Broadly Applicable Synthesis of Heteroarylated Dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]pyrroles for Advanced Organic Materials – Part 1: Conducting Electropolymers“ in the journal Organic Materials (2023, 5, 35-47).
