Nikol Figalová
Nikol Figalová studied psychology at the Palacký University Olomouc. In her bachelor thesis, she explored the relationship between stress and health in teachers. As her master thesis, she translated the Perceived Stress Scale into Czech language, and evaluated its reliability and validity in both general and psychiatric population. She collaborated on several research projects and worked as a crisis-line counsellor during her studies. She also spent two semesters at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon. After her graduation in 2019, she conducted an internship in the area of applied social cognition, followed by an internship at the Voice, Affect and Speech Laboratory (both at the Department of Psychology, University of Lisbon). Since May 2020, she works as an early stage researcher at the Ulm University within the SHAPE-IT project. In her research, she focuses on predictability of automated vehicles (AV) using neuroergonomics. Her goal is to improve the understanding of cognitive mechanisms of drivers’ predictions of AV behaviour using neuropsychological measurement. Her position is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme under the Marie-Sklodowska Curie grant agreement 860410.
